One of the most inexpensive code readers for the BMW E36. It gives fairly accurate code descriptions and clears codes quickly.

Foxwell NT530

The Foxwell reliably connects to the round port (with adapter) in the engine bay and reads all the modules in the E36. ABS, Airbag, and other modules are able to be read and reset, in addition to engine codes.

Foxwell NT710

The NT710 is similar to the NT530, but with a larger screen and claims faster read times.

Foxwell 20-pin adapter

Required for reading ABS, airbag, and other modules. The OBD port in the cabin only displays engine codes.
